Description

Citipati sp. is a genus of oviraptorid theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period of what is now Mongolia (specifically, the Djadokhta Formation of Ukhaa Tolgod, in the Gobi Desert). It is one of the best-known oviraptorids, thanks to a number of well-preserved skeletons, including several specimens found in brooding positions atop nests of eggs. These nesting specimens have helped to solidify the link between non-avian dinosaurs and birds.

I started this ages ago, left it for almost a year, & happened to be in the mood for sketching today so I re-worked it into this. I hope you like it. :)

I, ummmm, I don't think I need to use your artwork. An unoffical critique: Qilong knows a lot more than I do about the bone structures of this beast, so I'll stick with the artistic side.
For the most part, fine. I miss the shading that would help dimensionalize this head, which is a personal preference.

I like your scale textures on the throat, but, just above it you have what seem to be fine down feathers. Fine. The lower margin between the feathers and the scales is drawn as a plain line, which is extremely unlikely. The other feathery areas are done quite well.
