*DO NOT USE THIS for reconstructions. It is terribly outdated.
Motivated by the announcement of a new National Geographic exhibit in Washington, D.C., which will presumably display a mounted skeleton of Spinosaurus based on new remains that have recently been discovered, I decided to revise Spinosaurus.

Going by the teaser image of the mounted skeleton I reduced the length of the hind limbs and increased the length of the forearms. I also altered the shape of the sail, however I decided to leave the sacral vertebrae fused as this is a feature also found in Suchomimus and without a published paper from Ibrahim and Sereno highlighting just how much of the sail they actually did find, I think it is still plausible. I also went along with Jaimie Headden's observation (supported by Scott Hartman) that one of the presumed sacrals was actually an anterior caudal qilong.wordpress.com/2010/05/1….
